| Q: How
do you determine your skin type and proper skin care
regime? |
| A:
Dermatologists classify skin into six different
types: Caucasian, Japanese, Thai, Asian/Indonesian,
African and Black. Because of different melanin levels
in skin, different products are needed. For instance,
skin types one and two burn easily, so a daily sun
block is needed. Where as skin types five and six
never burn, so it is not as important. Also, skin
types one and two age more rapidly as compared to
skin types three to six, so anti-radicals are important.
Skin types one and two also tend to be drier so a
good moisturizer is also recommended. |
